The story wasn't fully fleshed out in the first game. In fact, you enjoy it and name the jingle Little Timmy, who pops into your head randomly while you're at work. Each level is a true banger to listen to that drills itself into your head for weeks, yet unlike the tumor of annoying commerical jingles, you don't mind. This game took what I loved about Hotline 1 and turned it into just a pure rage game.
The one level that made me say "fuck this game" is the one with the long hallway and a fat guy with a shotgun in it. I want to rip my controller in half as it is so infuriating to play. So, I decided to pick it up again and was enjoying it, until I got to Acts 4 and 5 of Hotline 2. I enjoyed both, but put down Hotline 2 for work related stuff and cause I kinda got bored.
